The Wisconsin Weather Festival was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, as part of the 2024 Wisconsin Science Festival. The event, hosted by Wisconet, was free and taught attendees about the state’s weather and climate. Scientists from UW–Madison, the National Weather Service and other areas of the weather community took part in the day and welcomed around 70 participants over three hours.
“We had guests of all ages, from pre-K to seniors, and lots of enthusiasm to learn more about what this community is doing to better understand weather and climate around Wisconsin and the planet,” says Chris Vagasky, Wisconet manager.
